Trimethylpentane

(CH3)3CCH2CH(CH3)2, Trithylpentane, is also known as isooctane or ISO-octane, is an organic compound (molecular compound with carbon atoms) that is clear colorless liquid with a petroleum odor, slightly less dense than water and insoluble in water. This is a molecular compounds that can both be Standard non-polar and Semi-standard non-polar molecules. This compund is another example of the London Dispersion force which is mainly the attration between each compound's negative end and positive end. Trithylpentane is one of the most important part of the gasoline which provides massive Knock resistance(increase the propulsion of engine lighting chance by the spark club) It can be made by dimerization using an Amberlyst catalyst to produce a mixture of iso-octenes.
