Methyl tert-butyl ether

MTBE(methyl tert-butyl ether) is an organic compound with a structural formula of (CH3)3COCH3. MTBE is a flammable, and colorless liquid that is soluble. MTBE is a type of molecular bound and it's intermolecular force is the London dispersion force because this compound is a non-polar solvent and it's evenly distributed spacing between each elements. MTBE is used as a fuel component in fuel for gasoline engines, or added during the refining process. It is one of a group of chemicals known as oxygenates because they raise the oxygen content of gasoline(to let the fuel ignite easier). Oxygenation help gasoline burn more completely, reducing tailpipe emissions and  displace gasoline components such as aromatics, benzine.
